TESTIMONIALS PAGE 2
I first met Rob a while back through the shop (Climax Tackle), and a while ago he mentioned he was going to produce his own bait range due to the majority of companies not producing the high quality bait that Rob believes should be on the market today.
When Rob asked me to fieldtest the baits i was more than happy to be part of it, and was relishing the chance to get out and use the high quality baits.
On a recent trip to Manor Farm on the linear complex, things didnt look to be shaping up good when i arrived with high pressure due to move in and northerly winds. I had a quick chat with the bailiff and found that only a handful of fish had been caught over the weekend so i opted to fish on the back of the cold northerly hoping any fish that were willing to feed would be on the back of it.
After a few flicks around i found a few areas of light silkweed and decided to fish 3 rods in the same area with a scattering of around 300 Choconut dream baits, this bait is awesome and the level of protein content is phenomenal.
All rods were sorted for around 7.30pm with two on Choconut Dream pop ups and 1 on a Bright white Neon ( you have to see these baits in the dark, they are incredible). After one of the worst frosts in May ever recorded i had the first run at 7.15am which turned out to be a lovely original of 22.8.
To cut a long story short i ended up with three twenties to 26.6 and a couple of doubles. Just goes to show that if you have the right bait in the right place you can get among em, Get on the Bait Matters.
I first met Rob during my time working at Climax Tackle, since then Rob has started his own bait company, Bait Matters, and approached me regarding becoming a fieldtester which was a offer to good to turn down.
The first time i smelt Bait Matters A.Y.R, i knew i was on to a winner and bait worries are now a thing of the past.
My first session with the A.Y.R was on a local water with a decent head of fish, i choose a unfancied swim at the opposite end of the lake with no other angling pressure. I decided to fish 15mm A.Y.R pop ups with a small pva bag of crushed matching shelf lifes and a light scattering of 15mm bottom baits over the top. I managed two commons weighing up to 20lb 8oz.
Since then i have taken the A.Y.R to other venues including Manor farm on the linear complex, Oxford and managed to catch a mirror weighing 21lb using the same tactics in not the best fishing conditions.
